Investigations or interferences in the final intestine are for most humans an unpleasant procedure, which is connected with fear often. In order to take this fear, we set as specialized practice for minimal invasive (gentle, little decisive) final intestine surgery,  for us the goal of keeping the well-being of our patients as high as possible.

This contains a high-qualitative and tender support of our patients and a maximum pain reduction forwards, during and after interferences and investigations also. We regard each patient as a "guest", who look for assistance  in our practice and offer to him our hospitality.

For all interferences or investigations we have our rules and principles, which permit us to achieve our goal.  

During the investigation we always communicate to the patient and provide for his calming and take away the possibly existing fear. We attach particular importance to a sensible and gentle proceeding under exact observation of his reactions. 

If a local anaesthesia should be necessary, we always attach some bicarbonate to the solution and avoid the easy burning, which otherwise arise. For the injection we always take a fine insuline canula, which is hardly felt. 

The operations accomplished in the Proktoklinik take place normally in regional anaesthesia. In addition we set a small, practically painless injection in the sacral bone region (sacral anaesthesia), whereby the entire anal region becomes insensitive. Only if the patient exclusively wishes it or rarely with illness-conditioned, insufficient local anaesthesia, we decide us also sometimes to a short narcosis, which is then accomplished by a specialist in anaesthesiology.

The techniques used by us have not only the minimilazation of the pain as a goal, but of course also the optimal success. This means a fast and effective healing with lowest possible recurrence of the illness. Each physician has his personal experiences with the individual techniques. Our own experiences of many years with the usual therapies, which were not always satisfying, led us to the application of our methods. Only if the used technique content patient and the treating physician together, than it has its authorization.

One should however never forgotten, that independently of the used method and treatment,  also the circumstances are to be changed, which led finally to the illness. Otherwise the probability of the renewed occurrence is always given.
